Unleash Your Mountain Spirit at North Bend Trail Fest!

Mt Si has some of the steepest and best maintained trails in Washington State. It is Seattle’s gateway mountain to the Cascades, and the hometown mountain of North Bend. Welcome.

North Bend Trail Fest is THE ultimate end-of-season mountain running celebration, and you’re invited to conquer the trails, push your limits, and revel in the beauty of the Cascades.

Our 30k race is the Vert Running Series Championship, has a $4.5k prize purse, and always attracts a strong elite field. Being one of the only true vertical kilometer races in the US, the Mt Si VK does as well. The Little Si 10k is a great introduction into the sport, with a sweet peak bag and much more manageable gain/loss.

Our Sunday festival features a community gravel ride, childcare via the village project, kid’s race, kombucha, field games, food, and more!

Whether you’re an elite runner or new to mountain adventures, there’s something for everyone. Spots are filling fast—secure yours today!

Mountain running features mostly up and down terrain, much more than you’ll find even in your typical trail race. It’s not easy. Power hiking is encouraged!

Mt Si VK: Kick off Saturday with a true vertical kilometer—test your climbing skills on this legendary ascent!
The North Bend Double: Double or nothing. Tackle both the Mt Si VK and Sunday’s Skyline 30k for a test of endurance.
Skyline 30k (Vert Running Series Championship): Over 6,500 feet of elevation gain and jaw-dropping Cascade views—this is mountain running at its finest!
Little Si 10k: New to vert running? This is your chance to experience the thrill without going all-in (yet!).
Mountain Adventure Expo: A full day dedicated to all things adventure—gear, demos, clinics, and more!
Family Fun: Childcare, kid’s race, and other family activities.

What makes this special

The Old Si trail in the 30k/VK, to our knowledge, is the second sustained steepest trail climb in an America after Mt Marathon.

Kids race & costume race on Sunday, plus kombucha on tap and hammerschlagen

Run with professionals. The 2026 participants include has Mount to Coast’s Caroline Alcorta, Adidas’ Stephen Kersh, and Brooks’ Hillary Allen.
