North Bend Double
Date: October 3-4, 2026
Double up the fun with two days of Vert and three peaks. The double will challenge you with over 10,000 feet of vert and just 35k of steep quad smashing trails.
You’ll arrive in North Bend and take on the Mt Si VK on Saturday and then return for the North Bend Skyline 30k on Sunday.
This is not for the faint of heart!
This event is limited to the first 50 runners.
DIVISIONS
The VK and 30k both have a male, female, and non-binary division.
The Skyline 30k is the Vert Running Series championship race. The competitive divisions, which you will select upon sign up, are as follows
- Elite – Sponsored runners or runners wanting to build a resume to become sponsored. Not sure if you fit? Contact us.
- Sport – Trail runners who don’t have the time to train like the Elites but want to get out and give it their all.
- Masters 45+ – 45 plus years of age, who still love to compete but are getting tired of those youngsters just nudging them out at the line.
Please see the Skyline 30k details for more information on prizes. To be eligible for any of the $4.5k prize purse, you must select into the elite field.
AWARDS & FOOD
After the VK, finishers receive their custom finisher’s award at the summit finish line. Participants receive a yogurt fruit parfait and Fall City kombucha on tap in town at Arete at Pro Ski & Mountain Service.
After the Skyline 30k, finishers will receive a custom finishers award at the Torguson Park finish line. Participants receive a meal at the finish line, snacks, and Fall City Kombucha with their entry.
All finishers may choose one of the following during registration: A custom wooden North Bend Trail Fest finisher award block hand designed by race director, Joe McConaughy; or three trees planted in the Pacific Northwest through our partnership with One Tree Planted.
Double finishers will also receive a custom wood piece to house their finishers awards courtesy of WolfMother Workshop.
Podium awards are presented to the top 3 men and women, and top nonbinary participant at Torguson Park after the race.

From 8:00-3:00 pm, friends, family, volunteers, and you are welcome to join in on the North Bend Trail Fest festivities at North Bend’s Torguson Park. This includes kids race, costume race, a community gravel ride, hammerschlagen and field games, kombucha keg, food, brand and gear demos.

SUPPORTING
We donate a portion of proceeds ($1,000 guaranteed) to Recovery Beyond, a nonprofit community redefining what recovery can look like. Recovery Beyond offer a wide range of experiences for people actively in recovery, like hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, and even mountaineering.
VOLUNTEER
Come join us through volunteering and earn $20 credit per hour served for future race entries or Vert Running Series gear.
CUPLESS
We will not be providing any cups on the course or at the start finish line. Please bring your own cup and or hydration vessel.
SUSTAINABILITY
One Tree Planted
We have partnered with One Tree Planted to give all participants an opportunity to plant three trees in the State of Washington rather than receive a finishers award. You can help us stay carbon neutral and make a difference in air quality. You can select this option during registration.
More Running Less Footprint – Sustainability Center
We work to become a carbon neutral event each year. The More Running Less Footprint center provides recycling for aluminum, paper and plastic.
